Training of National Union of Disability Organizations of Rwanda(NUDOR) Members on Child Rights Based Monitoring Advocacy

The training on child rights based monitoring advocacy to NUDOR members was organized by Coalition Umwana ku Isonga in partnership with Plan International Rwanda through Sida CIVSAM funded project called ” Strengthening Child Protection and SRHR in Rwanda” . This training was held in Musanze District at La Palme Hotel from 10th to 11th February 2022.

The objective of this training workshop was to share knowledge on child rights protection to members of National Union of Disability Organizations of Rwanda (NUDOR) in order to improve their skills in carrying out advocacy works around implementation of different policies and laws in particular those related to fighting Sexual and Gender Based Violence (SGBV) and Violence against Children (VAC).

Gained Skills Are:

1.Knowledge in human rights principles in general

2. Organizations members of NUDOR acquired knowledge on how to advocate for the promotion and protection of children rights and how to hold accountable local leaders in implementing policies, laws and commitments on fighting Sexual and Gender Based Violence and Violence against Children.

3. They were also able to draft action plans for advocacy for child rights in their respective fields.
